Jake Paul is (kind of) a married man these days following his wedding to fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau, but Jake sure had his fair share of romantic conquests PJ (pre-Jana). While it's unclear how long the Jana era will last, as we wait to find out, let's take a look back at all of Jake Paul's previous relationships, because they're juicy af.
Tana Mongeau Paul (April 2019 to Present)
Let's start with the obvious, Jake's blushing bride, Tana Mongeau. The two started dating in April 2019 and were engaged by June. Flash forward to July and the two were walking down the aisle together. Their whirlwind romance hasn't been totally straightforward, however. Many think the whole relationship is fake, simply a ploy to get more views on YouTube. It doesn't help that the two aren't technically legally married, considering they didn't fill out the necessary paperwork, but Tana insists this has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the relationship. "Any wedding I had—if I had three more f*cking weddings—really, I wouldn’t want to do it on paper because I think legally binding yourself to someone takes away the love," she explained in a YouTube video. "It’s unnecessary."
Erika Costell (July 2017 to October 2018)
Tana isn't Jake's first "fake" relationship. In 2017, the YouTuber started dating his assistant Erika Costell and even "got married" for a YouTube video, giving birth to the popular ship, "Jerika."
In an interview with the New York Times, Jake admitted that the relationship was fake, but in Shane Dawson's video, "The Mind of Jake Paul," he backtracked and insisted that they were a real couple.
However, a few months later, in his own YouTube video, Jake revealed that the two broke up following a trip to Greece together. "That was my first vacation in a couple of years and that’s when everything started to go downhill for us," he said. "I can’t even focus on [anything] majority of the time because I’m just thinking about Erika or that whole entire situation and it ruins my days and I don’t know how to deal with it at all. The whole entire breakup, in general, has made me realize I need to be happy on my own. I put a lot of happiness on Erika and us as a couple and I lost sight of who I was and what made me happy. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing at all, but it’s kind of weird to go from that to all of a sudden being on your own."
He admitted their relationship had been rocky for awhile and "it turned into this downward spiral where we were just super, super toxic for each other."
In a statement on Twitter, Jake admitted they broke up, but called Erika a "beautiful soul."
Tessa Brooks (2017)
While it was never confirmed, it was rumored that Jake Paul rebounded from his ex, Alissa Violet with fellow YouTuber Tessa Brooks. At the time, Tessa was part of Jake's content company, Team 10, but she later left the group.
Alissa Violet (2016 - June 2017)
Jake's first major relationship was with YouTuber Alissa Violet. Alissa was also a part of Team 10 and she even lived in the house along with Jake and other members.
According to Alissa, she met Jake at a mall the day before she graduated high school. They exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch until she eventually moved to LA to pursue modeling and acting, which is when she joined Team 10. The two were going strong for about a year, but eventually broke up. Afterward, Alissa posted a video claiming Jake emotionally abused her and cheated on her. Jake has also accused Alissa of cheating on him. The breakup was super messy and played out on social media. Eventually, Alissa tweeted that "Jalissa" was never even real.
