Pausing Optimum service
Many internet and television providers allow you to place a seasonal hold, where you temporarily suspend your service when you’re out of town for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, Optimum doesn’t currently offer seasonal holds.

Optimum doesn’t currently allow customers to cancel their service in person.
How to return your Optimum equipment
When you cancel your Optimum plan, you’ll have to return your equipment or risk paying a fee. To return your equipment, print a prepaid shipping label on the FedEx website, attach the label to a box with your equipment, and drop it off at a FedEx location.
